Deathwatch: Self and Member Evaluations for Monday. Cover Art for LA: This can be handed in on Wednesday if you haven't quite finished. French: Maison project is due Monday. You will have some time to work on it on Monday but it must be done but the end of the day. Language Arts: Topic - effectively the Thesis Statement for Monday. Please have it written into the worksheet that was provided. You will be writing a 5 paragraph essay that will be due in two weeks on Friday, March 13th. You may expand your cellphone paragraph or Possible Topics include: - should students have to wear uniforms? - Should schools be allowed to sell sugary drinks and candy? - Should the driving age be lowered or raised? - Should school start later in the day? - Should university be free? - Should there be rules about what people post on social media? - Should there be a curfew of 10pm for teenagers? - Should there be a dress code at school? Question: What song do you want on the class playlist? Must be clean and available on Spotify.

Games: Great seeing everyone have a chance to play their games again today. Tomorrow we will wrap up with a Play your own game session and self evaluations. Each great must submit one set of questions.
Math: Pg 142 Q 5-10. Science: There will be a test on Thursday, March 12th. We will be working on Design Challenge tomorrow, bring in your supplies. We will test next Friday. Question: Find a word that we use in English that has Greek or Latin origins and post it here. Can't be food. Must be an English word. Great work on the board games everybody. There was clearly a good deal of effort put into these and it looked like you were really enjoying playing them today. Math: We started looking at parallelograms today. If you need a refresher, the video we watched is just below. Keep working on your French houses and cover art for your short stories. Math: No Homework
Language Arts: I will try to have your stories back to you in the next day or two. For some of you, you will only need to do some simple revisions before we put out your "published" versions. Art: The cover art will need to be done by next Monday so that we can put them up before the end of the term and in time for Parent-Teacher conferences. Deathwatch: Tomorrow we will play our games. I think most groups are done but I did see some scrambling to add some last minute touches today. Hopefully we are all set for tomorrow. Feel free to creep out your parents with a viewing of Alma Question: Some people believe that if life has no purpose, then there is no reason for living. While others think that if life has no purpose, that frees a person to find/create and follow their own personal purpose. Which is a more valid point of view or are they both equally valid? Explain your answer. You have read the story Run, Sheep, Run by Rosemary Howland which tells the story of a young girl being bullied from the perspective of the bully. Below you will find a digital copy of the story and the dialogue between the two main characters. You will need to use the dialogue to anchor your story. You can not change the dialogue between this is what actually took place between the two characters, however, because you are writing from the perspective of Maddie, how you perceive that dialogue may be completely different. I will be looking for realistic interpretations of Maddie's emotions and feelings. Realistic use of language. You may choose to include other conversations with other characters that did not take place in the original story. I am looking for creativity within a realistic framework. Rough draft will be due on Tuesday February 18th
